An exciting opportunity has arisen within Wiltshire Police for motivated individuals to carry out the role of Digital Media Investigator within the Digital Investigations and Intelligence Unit, based at Devizes Police Headquarters. This is a police staff role.
The unit is a dedicated team who deal with all aspects of cyber dependent crime and high-end cyber enabled criminality. The unit is responsible for the delivery for the PURSUE, PROTECT PREVENT and PREPARE elements, providing a holistic response to the new emerging threat of cyber and digital crime. It ensures continued professional development of all staff throughout the force who are involved in such investigations. Digital Media Investigators are involved in providing technical assistance and support to officers involved in investigations, producing and implementing digital search and interview strategies, conducting internet based intelligence investigations, and conducting technical surveys.
The role requires a sound background in the understanding of cyber and digital crime, emerging trends and technology, in addition to proven investigative skills.
