Applications are invited for a full time permanent position within the Wiltshire Police Complex Fraud Team. Successful applicants will be based at Swindon, with the option to work remotely when commitments allow.
The role will involve the investigation of all elements of fraud, fraud prevention and joint working with other Law Enforcement Agencies. Applicants will be required to attend meetings and have a close working relationship with partner agencies, investigate offences and complete crime files relating to serious fraud.
Applicants should already be accredited PIP1 or equivalent, and where not PIP2 ICIDP accredited will be required to enrol on the ICIDP program, sit and pass the National Investigators Exam (NIE), and successfully complete and ICIDP portfolio. Applicants must also be willing to undertake the National Fraud Course, which will be organised for the successful candidate.
Successful applicants will have good investigative skills, be a highly motivated individual, who has the ability to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative, whilst providing an enhanced level of service to victims. The role requires predominantly office hours however there are times when flexibility is required to meet the needs of victims.
Any applicants that score highly at interview, but are not ultimately successful in this instance, may be ‘banked’ for any future vacancies that may occur within Fraud over the next six months.
