We are looking to recruit a HR Advisor within the People Services Centre. This will be a challenging, yet exciting, role with a wide remit of responsibilities which includes facilitating effective HR processes in designated areas, to provide case management and resourcing support to line managers. Reporting to the HR Manager, the post holder will have regular liaison with the wider People Services team in relation to operational matters that support service delivery.
You will have demonstrable experience of undertaking case management within a generalist HR environment (for example attendance management, discipline, grievance and capability cases), with sound knowledge of, and experience in the application of employment legislation.
Required to work 22.5 hours per week over 3 days however within this role it is expected that flexibility is required in periods when the organisation requires. The role will be based at Wiltshire Police Devizes Headquarters premises and the post holder will be required to work from other locations around the county.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to deal with a variety of situations and relate well to a range of people in a variety of workplace settings. • Ability to prepare reports and correspondence. • Ability to prioritise tasks, have an organised and methodical approach when dealing with workload. • Previous experience in HR case management. • Ability to utilise computerised information systems / web based applications. • Previous experience in researching, collating and analysing data. • Ability to provide presentations to a variety of audiences.
