A full time, (37 hours), Criminal Justice Investigator (CJI) permanent opportunity is now available in the IPT/TPU Justice team based at Swindon. This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with current investigative and file preparation experience and therefore able to undertake this role with minimal supervision. The post holder will support police officers in relation to the investigation of offences and file preparation, thus allowing the arresting officer the ability to resume their patrol and visibility, prevent crime and protect the public. The successful candidate must have previous experience in investigating matters and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines set by the court. Attention to detail is an essential part of the role, as the post holder will be assessing the accuracy of the files for contentious information. You must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, whilst also being flexible and creative in your approach to problem solving. Communication skills, both written and spoken, are an essential element of the role as you will be liaising with a variety of different contacts from police officers, Crown Prosecution Service to solicitors, judges and doctors. If you believe you have the skills and abilities to undertake the role then we would like to hear from you.
Wiltshire Police recognise the importance of our employees’ health, wellbeing and work life balance. Where possible we endeavour to accommodate the needs of our staff and welcome applications for those wanting a more flexible approach to working patterns
