Are you interested in a technical role that has meaningful impact on the frontline? Wiltshire Police have an exciting opportunity available to join our Business Intelligence team as a Systems Developer.
As a Systems Developer, you will be involved in creating innovative products and applications. This will empower employees across the organisation to explore the data they need to better understand performance and demand across key business areas.
The projects are varied and the work that you do will have a real, meaningful impact on frontline teams. You will help them to save them time and enable them to make informed, data driven decisions.
You will have an eye for designing attractive and intuitive dashboards and user interfaces. You should also have the confidence to present your products to non-technical audiences. You’ll need the ability to adapt your communication style to account for varying levels of seniority and your audiences’ requirements.
You will also be managing large volumes of data, extracted from multiple sources. You’ll be transforming, validating, storing, and re-using it in dashboards and applications.
The role regularly involves teamwork and engagement with stakeholders. You need to be someone who enjoys working collaboratively with others, and is willing and able to offer support to your colleagues where appropriate.
Wiltshire Police currently uses QlikSense as their Business Intelligence Tool. We will invest in your training and development within this role, and the right candidate should have the desire to develop their technical skills and have a proactive approach to problem solving.
This is a full-time, permanent role with typical working hours of Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, although Flexi Time is available. We offer blended contracts for this role, meaning you can split your time working between home and HQ in Devizes to work around your personal circumstances. We provide all the technical equipment and office furniture you will require to work from home.
To apply, please attach your CV and a cover letter to your application. If you would like to discuss the role further, please contact Molly Jenkins (Demand Management Lead) at molly.jenkins@wiltshire.police.uk.
