We have two exciting opportunities to become a Project Manager within our small and friendly Programme Management Team. You will lead and support change initiatives in Wiltshire Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, to make a real difference to how we work and support our communities.
We are looking for people with project management experience or strong transferrable skills, who are flexible, focused and who are great problem solvers, to work in a challenging and fast paced environment. You should have business analysis and problem solving experience, and be able to work with colleagues to generate solutions, assess competing options, and provide recommendations to senior management. Ideally you will already have a Project Management qualification, but alternatively you will be able to gain a qualification once in post.
As you will work closely with officers, staff and senior leaders, excellent communication skills are essential, to ensure that you are able to influence and motivate others to reach shared goals. We are engaged in a wide variety of interesting initiatives to enhance our service to the people of Wiltshire, such as: • scoping, procuring and rolling out new IT applications, • increasing our return on investment from existing applications by exploiting functionality, such as Microsoft 365 and the Force’s Records Management System, • rolling out strategic organisational change, including development of the training and professional development provision, • managing refreshes and upgrades of technical ICT infrastructure and communication systems, • driving process improvements and efficiencies to generate benefits • managing compliance projects. If this sounds interesting to you, then please feel free to email peter.mcsweeney@wiltshire.police.uk to arrange a chat.
