Wiltshire Police needs an enthusiastic and self-motivated Team Leader to join the Force Training Team within the People Development Department.
You will be expected to supervise a busy and professional team delivering a diverse training portfolio to officers and staff. You will also design and deliver training yourself. The team are currently designing the new PCSO and Special’s PEQF - Policing education qualifications framework – programmes, and you will play a key part in the introduction of these courses.
You will need excellent leadership, planning and communication skills along with a confident training style. You must be adaptable to the changing demands of the Police service and represent the values of the service.
A recognised professional training qualification at level 3 minimum, (AEAT, CEAT, Cert Ed, National Police Training (NPT) Trainer’s certificate or equivalent, A1/ CAVA assessor) is essential. If you do not already hold these qualifications, you will be expected to attend training and development to achieve them.
Knowledge of delivering criminal law training would be beneficial.
Following the paper sift successful candidates will be invited to interview. The interview will consist of a presentation and interview.
This position is primarily based in Devizes. There may be a requirement to occasionally work at other locations; therefore a full driving licence is required.
